Learngistics People
Brian Nixon - Owner
Learngistics was started by Brian Nixon, a serial entrepreneur and life-long learning devotee. It was during the process of developing children's interactive CDs that Brian first realized the tremendous power of combining technology with engaging content to produce a meaningful learning experience. However, relying on technology or enticing content does not ensure effective learning.
Learning is a broad, personal process involving many interrelated disciplines but ultimately it's about change, a purposeful progression in knowledge, understanding, and behavior. The type of change required in learning doesn't happen in a vacuum; goals, strategies, methodologies, motivation, content, delivery, and feedback all need to be established and integrated into an effective learning experience.
Brian realized that organizations are often ill equipped to tackle the complexities of developing talent, workforce training and development programs. He has taken his broad business and teaching experience and combined that with extensive technical know how to provide companies strategic, effective, and measurable learning solutions.
During the course of his career, Brian has worked for companies of all sizes, in advertising as an illustrator, graphic designer, and creative director, in the print production industry as a general manager, and as a small business owner and consultant.
Brian has a BS in Biology and a Masters degree in Managing Innovation and Information technology.
